Bulletin: Putting the "National" in
The National Jazz Museum in Harlem
Having already established a beachhead with an extensive partnership in California with Stanford University, The National Jazz Museum in Harlem (NJMH ) hits Aspen, Colorado this evening, where co-directors Christian McBride and Loren Schoenberg join with guitarist Russell Malone for a trio concert presented by Jazz Aspen Snowmass at the famed Little Nell Hotel.
On Sunday, the NJMH All-Star Big Band appears on the East Coast as part of 110 on 110, our collaboration with the Central Park Conservancy celebrating Duke Ellington's 110th birthday. (From 2 to 4 p.m., Charles A. Dana Discovery Center, Central Park, inside the park at 110th Street and Fifth Avenue.)
If you can, join us at one or the other (or both!).
