Jazz for Curious Readers
Ethel Waters: His Eye Is On The Sparrow, a celebration
March 7, 2011

Host: Father Peter J. O’Brien

His Eye Is On The Sparrow is rightfully acclaimed as one of the greatest autobiographies by an American female singer; with the able assistance of noted journalist and biographer Charles Samuels, Ethel Water's life and career journey is captured there in all of its joy, sorrow, bitterness, forgiveness, and spirit of perseverance no matter what she faced.

Tonight we celebrate the book and remember the bright star that was Ethel Waters.
