Parallax Conversation Series
Maritza Wellington Owens, CEO of Harvest Home; Brother Num, percussionist
August 8, 2013

Parallax: noun- The effect whereby the position or direction of an object appears to differ when viewed from different positions.

The fifth installment of the Parallax Conversation Series elaborates on the notion of the community environment, as we bring together the CEO of Harvest Home Farmers Markets, a non-profit dedicated to increasing access to local, farm-fresh produce to low-income neighborhoods, with percussionist Brother Num, a long-time Harlem resident and avid gardener. The pair is bound to have an interesting conversation as their passions for urban agriculture, Harlem, and music intersect; like jazz at its best, we have no idea what to expect but we invite you to come find out! Itís bound to be a fascinating evening.
