On June 30th, the Jazz Museum in Harlem was honored at an
event celebrating Black Music Month (held at Aaron Davis Hall
on the City College campus). The hosts and sponsors included
the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, 100 Black Man of New
York and JP Morgan Chase. Featured speakers were Representative
Charles Rangel, GHCC chairman Lloyd Williams and top-ranking
banking and community officials. The JMIH received a $10,000
grant to continue its work establishing its presence in the
community and generating interest in the JMIHs mission.
