Ellington at 109!
July 27, 2008

Celebrate the genius of Duke Ellington with films featuring the great pianist, composer, and bandleader in every decade from the 1920s through the 1970s, from locations in Harlem and around the world. Loren Schoenberg, Executive Director of the Jazz Museum in Harlem, hosts an exciting afternoon placing these films in a swinging context. This program is presented in conjunction with Harlem Week.

It’s dark, but over 75 people attended.
